Ice Skating Rules

  1. Chewing gum is not allowed inside the ice rink.
  2. Please change your shoes and skates in the designated area.
  3. No sitting on dasher boards, counters or table tops.
  4. No food or beverages may be brought into the ice rink or placed on the rink sides.
  5. Know your skating ability and skate within your limits.
  6. You must refrain from acting in a manner that may cause or contribute to injury to yourself or others.
  7. No pushing, fast skating, reckless skating or playing tag.
  8. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the rink.
  9. No smoking permitted anywhere inside Railroad Park.
  10. We reserve the right to check all bags.
  11. Before leaving, we ask that you please place the skates on the rental skate counter.
  12. We promote clean, fun, friendly and safe behavior for our guests/customers; inconsiderate behavior by guests/customers will not be tolerated.
  13. Hats, combs, tiaras and other hair accessories are not permitted while skating on the ice rink surface, as they may pose a hazard.
  14. No one is permitted to carry anything in their hands on the ice rink without the expressed approval of management.
  15. Anyone wearing skates is not permitted to carry a child.
  16. Backward skating is only permitted during designated specialty skates.
  17. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone not meeting the standards of good behavior and to evict persons not following the policies of this ice rink.
  18. These rules are in addition to the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) code of conduct/regulations for ice skaters.

Ice Skating Institute's Code of Conduct

Skaters understand and agree to all of the following:

  1. Maintain reasonable control of your speed and course at all times.
  2. Read and abide by all posted signs, warnings and cooperate with staff.
  3. Maintain a proper skating distance to lookout and avoid other skaters, objects or conditions on the surface of the rink.
  4. Accept responsibility for knowing the range of your ability while on skates, and skate within the limits of that ability.
  5. Do not skate while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other control impairing substances.
  6. Leave the ice surface when resurfacing or maintenance is taking place.
  7. Food and drinks are not allowed on the ice rink surface, the surrounding dasher boards or cap rails.
  8. Refrain from acting in a manner that may cause or contribute to the injury of oneself or any other person.

Skaters understand the assumption of risk agreement; by engaging in skating, skaters are deemed to have knowledge of, and assume the inherent risks of skating, which include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Injuries that result from collisions or contact with other skaters or other individuals who are on the skating surface.
  2. Injuries that result from falls.
  3. Injuries that involve objects or artificial structures that are properly within the intended path of travel of the skater.

Spectators understand the assumption of risk:

  1. Spectators understand and shall comply with each posted sign or warning and assume the inherent risks related to a skating rink.

Ice Slide Rules

  1. You must be at least 42” tall to ride this slide.
  2. All riders must ride in a sitting position, facing forward, with each hand grasping the appropriate handle.
  3. All riders should continue to hold onto handles until they come to a complete stop.
  4. Riders are limited to one rider per tube.
  5. Riders should not begin ride until the bottom of the slide is completely clear and the attendant instructs them to begin ride.
  6. Riders must obey all rules and instructions from attendants. Failure to do so will result in ejection from the slide without refund.
  7. Riders should take no action that endangers themselves or other guests.
  8. While waiting on the stairs or ramp, riders should keep all hands, feet, and their tube inside the walkway. Hold handrails for safety.
  9. At the termination of the ride, all riders should exit immediately from the slide handing their tube to the next employee/person in line for the ride.
  10. You should not ride this ride if you have any sort of back problem, heart problems, are pregnant, or have any other health issues that might result in injury.
  11. No riders under the influence of alcohol are permitted to ride.
  12. No sitting on dasher boards, hand rails, or counters.
  13. No food or beverages may be brought onto the ice slide or placed on the slide sides.
  14. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the slide.
  15. No smoking permitted anywhere inside Railroad Park.
  16. We reserve the right to check all bags.

  18. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone not meeting the standards of good behavior and to evict persons not following the policies of this ice slide.
  19. Any person who violates these rules assumes all risk.
