The House of Restoration Church

We don’t just come to church—we ARE the church. Our community events are hosted by Restoration Reach, the outreach ministry of The House of Restoration Church, created to spread love, awaken joy, and bring people together—right where they are. Through smiles, games, conversations, community education, care, and creative acts of kindness, we show up for our city with open hearts, open hands, and the hope of Jesus—no pressure, just presence. Together, we celebrate fellowship, kindness, and the joy of community while offering Christ’s love, hope, and belonging to all. The vehicle, called BPL Mobile, is far more than a traditional bookmobile. On BPL Mobile, patrons are able to take advantage of many services available in libraries across Birmingham such as:

• Books
• Computers
• Free Wi-Fi
• Citizen services such as notarizing, and printing
• Programs and activities such as library story times and STEM

BPL Mobile vehicle is a result of a collaboration between BPL and the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA), and local developer Ed Ticheli. In 2021, the BJCTA d
onated a para-transit bus to BPL, allowing the library system to provide mobile library services by bookmobile to the 99 neighborhoods of the City of Birmingham. This valuable service is an innovative approach to bridging the digital divide and expanding citizen services to underserved communities.

Birmingham Indivisible and the ACLU of Alabama, will host No Kings III on March 28^th, 2026 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. The public is invited to join this rally, which is dedicated to the non-violent expression of free speech. This is an event to celebrate the values of democracy, especially marking the 250^th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Celebrate Spring in Birmingham: Join us for the City’s Spring Festival!

Mayor Randall Woodfin invites everyone to the City of Birmingham Spring Festival on Sunday, March 29th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Railroad Park. This free, family-friendly event will feature food trucks, music, activities, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.
