RAILROAD PARK SIGNATURE EVENTS
The Railroad Park Foundation Reunion is a fundraiser luncheon that takes place in June of each year to celebrate the past, present and future of Railroad Park.
Picnic at Railroad Park: Celebrating Birmingham’s Community takes place on a Sunday in late September or early October each year. This FREE event celebrates the best of Birmingham with entertainment, children’s activities, food trucks and retail vendors showcasing the creative and diverse talents of our city.

Get Healthy on the Railroad Exercise Classes sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama take place every weekday from April to October! See the full schedule and join us for these FREE classes.
Get Healthy on the Railroad Cooking Classes sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama take place monthly from April to October. See the full schedule and join us for these FREE classes.
Magic City Pop-Up Plaza takes place the 2nd Friday of each month (April-October) from 3 pm – 7 pm. Enjoy Birmingham’s best food trucks and shop with local vendors, makers & artists. Free to attend, this event takes place on Railroad Park’s 17th Street Plaza.

Peaceful Vigils
Railroad Park welcomes peaceful vigils for the loss of a loved one at the Park as long as certain guidelines are met. Please contact the Park office at least five (5) days in advance of your desired vigil date at 205.521.9933 or email events@railroadpark.org.
Demonstrations/Protests/Rallies
Any demonstration or other event organized or held for political, religious, or other First Amendment related purposes requires a permit from the City of Birmingham. If the permit is approved, Railroad Park requires a minimum of seven (7) days notice. The Railroad Park team reviews requests on a case by case basis and may also:
- Charge for space used within the Park.
- Require additional security including off-duty police officers.

3. Review the Park’s event policies and rules.
4. Decide if you would like to have catered food, alcoholic beverages, carnival rentals, audio/visual equipment and/or other
amenities at your event. View our list of approved caterers and vendors.
5. Fill out the events request form.
6. Email your events request form to events@railroadpark.org.
7. Once your information is received, a representative from Railroad Park will contact you within 2-3 business days. Once
approved, you will receive an invoice regarding your reservation.
8. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis.
